A beautifully illustrated and handsomely printed book describing a class visit to the Natural History Museum. Most children will find something to recognise and enthuse over in the text or pictures - nausea on the bus, awesome exhibits, the teachers' ancestral output of corny jokes and vapid tasks. But aren't most school trips more rife with catastrophe than this one, or have I just been unlucky with my outings? A bit more chaos would have added a touch of realism to a somewhat bland storyline.
