This 'original fantasy brimming with life' (cover) has taken since 1975 to reach paperback! It's quite a low-key fantasy, which seems to be pervaded by sadness, mainly for the pursued leprechaun, Nameon, lost outside his own world and time and in danger of gross exploitation if caught. Sadness too for his pursuer, the ex-detective Mr Moon, weary, sick and obsessive about tracking this unique quarry on what will be his swansong. There's a fund of inventive ideas, which have not dated, and a modest humour which could appeal to fantasy lovers looking for something different.
