A series of 'adventures of the Gingerbread Man' in which he has a number of alarming encounters ending with the onset of winter where we leave him snugly prepared for some further adventures of a chillier nature. There is also a gingerbread recipe for those who want to meet the character at first hand. Try sharing this one with younger infant but it is also ideal for fluent infant readers to tackle for themselves.

The same is true of Where Does Andy Go? which relates episodes in a most unusual and largely enjoyable family holiday spent in a double decker bus. Line drawings break up the text for those tackling the book solo.
