The fate of a cooked chicken is seen from two viewpoints in this simple story. Outside the house two cats spy and devour the bird whilst inside mum and dad are too busy drinking and eating their tea to notice. Young children should enjoy the humour of the situation, the jokey coloured crayon illustrations and the brief, circular and deliberately deadpan text.
