Dorothy Edward's stories about the misdemeanours of small children have delighted generations of young listeners and readers: so too will this one wherein a small girl refuses to go to Play Group but does want to try her hand - not to mention her nose - at printing with inevitably messy results. Priscilla Lamont's illustrations are an added treat for both adult readers aloud and those children who read or listen to the tale. Dorothy Edwards is right about the purple paint too - it's almost impossible to wash off!
