Zoe and Beans: The Magic Hoop!
The Inkpens, father and daughter team extraordinaire, must have had great fun making this, the fourth story in the ‘Zoe and Beans’ series. Poor, fat Beans really doesn’t want to jump through the hoop Zoe has found, but his doggy chocolates will make him do almost anything, and when he dives through the hoop, he comes out the other side – a rabbit. Zoe is terribly pleased (particularly at his neat little poos!) and she decides to try again. Several animals later, Beans turns into an elephant and is well and truly stuck in the magic hoop. Zoe puts him on a diet, but he finds the Choccy Bears and eats so many! All is well, of course, and Beans is back to his fat, slobbery self. It is the pictures, full of differentiated text, lots of wonderful pastel animals and bright little Zoe in her red dress that make this extra special and, well, magical.
