The Perfect Prince is a sumptuously illustrated post-modern version of the ‘princess kisses frog’ story. Poor Princess Isabella is besieged by suitors who want to marry her. Out of desperation she kisses a frog while going on one of her long walks. Rather than conjuring up a handsome prince, her kiss results in her becoming a frog herself. She finds her perfect mate and has zillions of frog babies. The offbeat collage and line illustrations capture all the silliness from start to finish.
