The opening lines of this jaunty jingle are an irresistible invitation to young children to waddle, bounce, flim-flam flutter, slither, hiss and wriggle, jive, jiggle, jump and wriggle and generally have a wonderfully noisy time with the eleven assorted birds, reptiles and mammals that cavort through the pages of this action-packed extravaganza. From ostrich to elephant, donkey to snake, Gardiner's large animal pictures explode with exuberance and movement as they gyrate across the pages. Anyone who has dealings with young children should keep a copy to hand and be prepared for plenty of noisy fun.
