Using artwork from a book of the same title published some twenty years ago, McNaughton introduces readers to the likes of the soaring Swantosaur, the flying Frogosaurus, Hedgeyhogeyplodicus and the bopping, boxing Kangasaur. His illustrations of the ten gigantic fantasy creatures and the reactions provided by their appearance in the 'real' world are mildly amusing but I found the verses simply excruciating. Dinosaur books rarely fail but for me at any rate, this one does.
